I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in 2013 which affects my balance, right leg and foot. My consultant suggested I get a Personal Trainer.
Darran took on board my problems and devised a training program to work on these areas and it’s thanks to his commitment and support, that my fitness continues to improve.

For over 10 years Darran has been my personal trainer and he has worked with me to adjust my training plan and help me learn about how a holistic approach to fitness improves your overall feeling of well being.
He has adapted my training plan as my goals and lifestyle has changed such as pre, during and post pregnancy as well as helping me with a core strengthening program to support my current aim to be a competent open water swimmer.
Darran is empathetic and knowledgeable and truly puts you at the heart of what you do. He is not pushy but supportive and has a very flexible attitude as to how to work best with you.

When I started to write this testimonial for Darran, I tried to remember what I wanted to know when I was selecting a PT. Of course, all the testimonials I read were great; no-one would advertise a bad one! So I watched the PTs around the gym and looked at how they train and interact with their clients. I'd encourage you to do that as well as read the various comments. I am sure you will see how great Darran is with all his clients. I've been training with him for 3 years and over that time Darran has constantly inspired me. Not only have I significantly improved my fitness and strength, I have learnt which foods are best for me through metabolic typing. I had been going to the gym for years before I started to train with Darran but the difference in how I now feel internally and externally (I would never have worn a skirt 3 years ago!) is amazing. If you do watch Darran you will see that he is very focused and encouraging. He is highly knowledgeable and designs and updates my programme around both my short-term and long-term goals. I've probably challenged Darran too as I have had two unexpected illnesses; both times I'm been thoroughly impressed by Darran's ability to combine his medical knowledge and PT skills to get me back on track to achieve my fitness goals. And most importantly, he is a really nice guy...his PT sessions are physically though but also great fun!
I have been training with Darran for a year now and during this time I have found him to be extremely professional, committed and knowledgeable.
As I suffer with posture and back problems I required a programme for corrective exercise although I also wanted to improve toning and general fitness, which has been successfully achieved in my programmes and I have noticed a great deal of improvements over the year. My programmes are also updated on a regular basis following thorough assessments.
Darran has been very supportive and more than willing to work with my osteopath to ensure we are moving in the right direction.
